Evy & Gunnar Sandberg Foundation to Support Medical Research

Between 2006 and 2016, the Foundation granted a total of SEK 40 M to recipients including the Museum of Life in Lund, Urology clinic, Department of Clinical Memory Research and the Faculty of Medicine (Locus Medicus Malmoensis – the union building for medical students in Malmö).

Star for Life

Sandberg Development has sponsored the Star for Life organisation and its educational programme in upper-secondary schools in South Africa for many years. Star for Life strengthens students’ self-esteem and motivates them to invest in their education. Star for Life’s programme is currently available in 120 schools in South Africa and Namibia. Hand in Hand

Sandberg Development is engaged in the charity Hand in Hand, which fights poverty by supporting and training women and young people to become entrepreneurs. Hand in Hand has activities in Afghanistan, Cambodia, India, Kenya, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. For more information, visit: handinhandsweden.se.

Other social engagements

Sandberg Development also makes regular donations to charity organisations such as the Swedish Cancer Society, the Heart and Lung Foundation, Save the Children, the Swedish Red Cross, UNHCR, SOS Children's Villages, the Childhood Cancer Fund, Stadsmissionen Skåne and Unicef.

Sandberg Development also regularly supports regional and local sports clubs such as Malmö
FF, Malmö Redhawks, HK Malmö and FC Rosengård. In addition, Sandberg Development is the exclusive sponsor of Malmö Redhawks’ hospital visits to children’s wards at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö and Lund. These hospital visits are part of Malmö Redhawks’social engagement under the name of #MerÄnHockey.
